Modelling the Spatial Spread of Infectious Diseases
Dr. Cauchemez develops state-of-the-art mathematical methods to better understand and anticipate the spread of infectious diseases in human populations. Through the development of innovative modelling techniques and the collection of original epidemiological data in Bangladesh, India and Madagascar on influenza, dengue and chikungunya, he aims to unravel the spatial determinants of spread with a view to support policy making and improve control strategies.
