The major themes developed by TSE in this research program distinguish issues related to insurance underwriting and management of financial assets, respectively.

Insurance underwriting issues include topics such as the analysis of causes of insolvency and policies to reduce the effects and the psycho¬ socio-economic study of savings and investment behavior. Market competition analysis, including insurance brokerage, is also a topic of interest for TSE research teams.

Financial asset management issues include a quantitative analysis of a global insurer's portfolio management from a long-term perspective, as well as an economic analysis of the accounting standards (IFRS) reform and solvency ( Solvency II, internal evaluation models)
